The white wine Urmeer Appenheimer Weißburgunder trocken, vintage 2017 from the winery Weingut Hofmann has been rated in 2018 with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Weißburgunder from the region Rhine Hesse in Germany.
Still closed on the nose, with hints of wet stones, lime blossom, nutty and chocolaty (woody) notes. Rich on the palate, with silky texture and an acidity that is, however, quite incisive and somewhat dominates the whole. Excellent ageing potential.
