Tasting from 11.10.2016: Axel Biesler und Ulrich Sautter

No, it is neither a tawny port nor a Banyuls, although its ethereal concentrated fragrance certainly suggests that. Mint, black chocolate and dried olive are all at play. The label speaks of 17% alcohol by volume, which the palate cannot believe, so fresh and pithy this Amarone tastes. Grandiose! Grandiose!
