Tasting Notes
The initial sensation of ripe, fresh, red cherry turns with some air into something far more layered, and poetic: nuances of smoke, peony and a touch of petrichor take turns with their perfume. The palate is silky and again has a lovely nuance of smoke and a subtle, juicy generosity on its sinuous, slender body. It is on the finish that a darker note of cherry shines through and the sensation of the fine tannins reveals a slight grip, just like the crunch of starched silk. Lovely, wonderfully fresh and most elegant.
