Tasting Notes

Tasting from 31.12.2019: Ulrich Sautter

Tangerine and a hint of reductive notes. Rather more citrus fruit than stone. A trace of roasted coffee. After some aeration roasted hazelnut can be detected too. On the palate there is great homogeneity, a gentle drive in the build-up, which leads into a persistent plateau phase, ripe acidity, measured phenolics, very powerful, and a finish that has a somewhat astringent minerality. A powerful, almost mighty wine. Very dense finish that almost requires one to masticate. Very salty.
