Tasting from 31.12.2019: Ulrich Sautter

This was the favourite parcel of the father, hence the addition of "à mon plaisir". Very fragrant and nuanced, with some anise and delicately savoury wood. With air, it develops into an ideal type of Meursault with stony and nutty notes, some jasmine, saffron, grapey notes, and golden caramel, as well as damp limestone. On the palate, it is punchy, with the alcohol and substance densely interwoven. Chalky, very complete in its style, and with great depth, it has an exciting tactile minerality, and also some iron minerality. It finishes with chalkiness, salt, and texture.
