Chocolate and black cherry make for a sumptuous, juicy, rich nose while hints of tar and smoke play. More air brings iron oxide and stone. The palate brims with freshness, with precision and fine, dense, firm, smooth tannins. They are still drying but will stand this in good stead. This is all structure, all poise with beautifully pure, dark fruit and vivid, mouth-watering freshness. That lovely smokiness.
