Inviting aromas of dark forest berry jam and cassis, mixed with more savoury fine wood spice, a hint of hazelnut and some balsamic nuances. Undoubtedly a multi-layered bouquet and it's similarly complex on the palate. Tight-knit and juicy, with firm tannins supporting a core of sweet black cherry extract. Some dried fruit and caramel shows on the finish which has good length. Certain ageing potential, for many years.
