Tasting Notes
This has a very complex aroma, with some oak character, a gingerbread-like savouriness, then a note plum brandy, some leather, herbs, subtle animal undertones, and sour cherry. On the palate it is emphatically full-bodied, compact and powerful, with a hefty dose of grainy dry tannins of an "artisanal" feel, and a rather subtle acidity. It is an earthy and hearty Pinot Noir, and not a filigree artist, but a very substantial wine which demands bottle ageing.
