Der taiwanesisch-amerikanische Chef Yao er\u00f6ffnete \u00bbKato\u00ab erstmals 2016 in einem unscheinbaren Einkaufszentrum in <strong>West Los Angeles (USA)<\/strong> und bot ein Verkostungsmen\u00fc mit asiatisch-amerikanischer K\u00fcche an, das stark von der <strong>taiwanesischen Kochkunst<\/strong> seiner Mutter beeinflusst war.<\/p>\n<p>Anfang 2022 verlegten Yao und Bailey \u00bbKato\u00ab in neue, erweiterte und voll lizenzierte R\u00e4umlichkeiten im \u00bbRow DTLA\u00ab im Arts District von Los Angeles, bef\u00f6rderten die langj\u00e4hrige <strong>General Managerin Nikki Reginaldo<\/strong> zur Gesch\u00e4ftspartnerin und holten dabei den erfahrenen <strong>Barleiter Austin Hennelly<\/strong> an Bord.<\/p>\n<h2>Gehobene K\u00fcche, frisch interpretiert<\/h2>\n<p>Das<strong> industrielle Luxusrestaurant<\/strong> bietet eine <strong>frische Interpretation der gehobenen K\u00fcche<\/strong>, wobei Yaos Gerichte das Wesen der klassischen taiwanesischen K\u00fcche mit einer ausgepr\u00e4gten zeitgen\u00f6ssischen Note verbinden. Eine <strong>ma\u00dfgefertigte Holzfeuer-Herdplatte<\/strong> bildet das Zentrum der K\u00fcche, die ein Verkostungsmen\u00fc mit zw\u00f6lf herausragenden G\u00e4ngen serviert \u2013 darunter Gerichte wie karamellisierter S\u00e4bel mit Abalone und Basilikum, gegrillter Hummer mit Hummertoast und einer Sauce aus ger\u00f6steten Schalen sowie Dungeness-Krabbenpudding mit Fischblasen und Krabbenessig. Zu den s\u00fc\u00dfen G\u00e4ngen geh\u00f6ren K\u00f6stlichkeiten wie Boniato-Yam-Boba mit Frischk\u00e4se und S\u00e4bel sowie ger\u00f6stetes taiwanesisches Ananas-Millefeuille.
