Norbert B. Lessing (Area Manager Hilton \u00d6sterreich, Tschechien und Kroatien) erinnerte zum Start des Dreikampfs an den ber\u00fchmtesten Cocktail der US-Kette: die Kreation der <strong>\u00bbPi\u00f1a Colada\u00ab durch Ram\u00f3n \u00bbMonchito\u00ab Marrero Perez<\/strong> 1954 im Hilton Puerto Rico. Einen \u00e4hnlichen Erfolg w\u00fcnschte er den Kreationen \u2013 basierend auf <strong>\u00bbLillet\u00ab<\/strong> \u2013 der jungen Mixologen: \u00bbIndem wir aufstrebenden Talenten eine B\u00fchne bieten, hebt Hilton die Kreativit\u00e4t und das Potenzial seines Teams hervor\u00ab.<\/p>\n<h2>Promi-Jury und viele Beeren<\/h2>\n<p>Gefragt waren <strong>regionale Aromen und internationale Raffinesse,<\/strong> f\u00fcr die es Punkte in f\u00fcnf Kategorien zu holen gab. Das K\u00f6nnen der Talente bewertete eine <strong>gemischte Jury<\/strong> aus Gastronomen, Bar-Autoren und Prominenten \u2013 u. a. kosteten <strong>Luigi Barbaro jun.<\/strong> (\u00bbRegina Margherita\u00ab), Musical-S\u00e4ngerin <strong>Missy May<\/strong> und T\u00e4nzerin <strong>Conny Kreuter<\/strong> mit. Eigener Honig-Sirup des aus Nijmegen nach Wien gewechselten Teilnehmers stellte eine Hauptzutat dar. Eine frische Variante, die mit Lemon-Lime-Cordial, Holunderbl\u00fcten-Sirup und Bitter Lemon gemixt wurde, hatte <strong>Manuel Kadlec<\/strong> aus dem <strong>\u00bbPlaza\u201c<\/strong> am Start. Der <em>Chef de Rang <\/em>erntete auch einen kollektiven Lacher f\u00fcr seine Inspiration: \u00bbDer Drink soll an die Eleganz <u>mancher<\/u> Bezirke Wiens\u00ab erinnern.<\/p>\n<p>Als letzter und eloquentester Teilnehmer machte dann<strong> Jonathan Seeger<\/strong> das Rennen. Er servierte einen <strong>\u00bbLiquid Strudel\u00ab.<\/strong> Mit einer Dosis \u00bbHavana Club\u00ab verhinderte der Kandidat aus dem Hilton Waterfront zu viel S\u00fc\u00dfe bei seinem vom Wiener Apfelstrudel inspirierten Cocktail. \u00bbDer soll auch im Winter getrunken werden k\u00f6nnen\u00ab, lie\u00df er auch bewusst einen Filler weg. Der mit einer Apfel-Zimt-Infusion versehene Drink wird nur mit etwas Soda getoppt. Seegers fl\u00fcssiger Apfelstrudel hat schon demn\u00e4chst seinen gro\u00dfen Einsatz: Beim <strong>Jubil\u00e4umsfest des Hilton Vienna Park am 24. September<\/strong> soll der \u00bbLiquid Strudel\u00ab des F&amp;B Trainees in Massen flie\u00dfen.
