Der \u00bb<strong>Austrian Bartender Award\u00ab<\/strong> wurde so aber erneut zu einem Highlight der Messe \u00bb<strong>Alles f\u00fcr den GAST\u00ab.<\/strong> Zwei Tage lang stellten sich <strong>16 heimische Mixologen<\/strong> der Herausforderung vor dem Salzburger Messe-Publikum. Dank F\u00f6rderern wie \u00bb<strong>Thrill\u00ab, \u00bbPago\u00ab oder \u00bbL. Derksen\u00ab<\/strong> sch\u00f6pften sie f\u00fcr ihre Freestyle-Cocktails aus einem vollen Warenkorb. Wobei die Spirituose \u2013 f\u00fcr den zweiten Teil des Bewerbs \u2013 per Los bestimmt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Dabei ergab sich zuf\u00e4llig auch bei vielen fl\u00fcssigen Beitr\u00e4gen ein <strong>herbstliches Thema.<\/strong> Das Losgl\u00fcck brachte einigen Teilnehmern Basis-Spirituosen von <strong>\u00bbKyr\u00f6\u00ab<\/strong> aus Finnland. <strong>Pavel Cinkavic<\/strong> (\u00bbRio\u00ab in Bregenz) verband etwa Birkenbl\u00e4tter und Kakaosoda zu seiner Hommage an den Norden. <strong>Kate Schr\u00f6der<\/strong> wiederum lie\u00df den \u00bbSauna-Effekt\u00ab durch den Kontrast aus kaltem Waldbeer-Drink und warmem Glas schmeckbar werden. Und auch der Roggenwhisky bekam im <strong>\u00bbBread of the North\u00ab von Jay Vehovar<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/bars\/qube-music-lounge\">\u00bbQube\u00ab<\/a>, Korneuburg) eine w\u00fcrzige Hommage. Latschenkiefer und Spitzwegerich brachte <strong>Sascha Riepl<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/de\/bars\/ginhouse\">\u00bbGinhouse\u00ab<\/a>, Zell\/See) als alpine Noten bei seiner Kreation \u00bbNordwind\u00ab ein.\u00a0 Tropische Noten mit Lychee-Sirup wiederum verpasste <a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/de\/bars\/ginhouse\">Stefan Egger<\/a> (Brennerei <a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/destillerien\/hochkoenig-edelbrennerei-gruenegg\">\u00bbGr\u00fcnegg\u00ab<\/a>, Hochk\u00f6nig) seinem Cocktail. Und Titelverteidiger <strong>Hans Prommer<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/bars\/bar-amouro\">\u00bbAmouro\u00ab<\/a>, Graz) lie\u00df mit einem kantigen Milchpunch mit Kirschsaft und Roggenwhisky aufhorchen.<\/p>\n<p>Daf\u00fcr gab es am Ende den dritten Platz in dieser Wertung hinter Egger und der strahlenden Siegerin aus Salzburg, <strong>Johanna \u00bbJoJo\u00ab Luger<\/strong> aus der <a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/bars\/burdock\">\u00bbBurdock\u00ab-Bar<\/a>. Auch f\u00fcr die <strong>sch\u00f6nste Dekoration<\/strong> gab es Sonderpreise. Hier erwies sich das <a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/hotels\/lebenberg-schlosshotel\">\u00bbSchlosshotel Kitzb\u00fchel\u00ab<\/a> als unschlagbar. <strong>Eric Spisla<\/strong> holte sich die Auszeichnung f\u00fcr den sch\u00f6nsten alkoholfreien Cocktail, Newcomerin <strong>Polina Piven<\/strong> in ihrer ersten Competition den Preis f\u00fcr den Cocktail mit Alkohol (\u00bbGatsby\u2019s Gold Rush\u00ab).<\/p>\n<p>Konzept-Cocktail: F\u00fcr den sch\u00f6nsten Drink, \u00bbGatsby\u2019s Gold Rush\u00ab, mixte Polina Piven auch 1920er-Look. | \u00a9 Roland GrafUnd ausgerechnet <strong>Robert Suvada<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.falstaff.com\/at\/bars\/lust\">\u00bbLust\u00ab<\/a>, Bregenz), der unter dem Motto \u00bbWilder Westen\u00ab angetreten war, holte f\u00fcr die beste Arbeitstechnik einen weiteren Sonderpreis. In \u00bbalkoholfrei\u00ab ging diese Wertung \u00fcbrigens an <strong>Kate Schr\u00f6der.<\/strong> Ein Gewinn war der Bewerb aber auch f\u00fcr die Messebesucher \u2013 sie sahen <strong>\u00d6sterreichs Barelite in einem Kreativwettstreit<\/strong> mit vielen saisonalen Akzenten.
