Ingredients

cinnamon stick

cinnamon powder
250
ml
water
250
g
sugar
  • In a saucepan, bring the water, sugar, cinnamon powder and the slightly crushed cinnamon stick to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved, stirring continually (approx. 10 minutes).
  • Strain the syrup into a heatproof container and close tightly.
  • Leave to cool and then store in a cool place or in the fridge. 

Tip

The cinnamon syrup can not only be used for mixing drinks or punch, but also as a flavouring in baking. Or pour a little of it over vanilla ice cream or refine your morning coffee with it!
