For the Kinda Americano

Ingredients (Serves 1)

Campari

red vermouth with coffee-infusion*

soda water

orange wedge
ice
  • Pour all ingredients over ice into a highball glass and stir gently once so that the carbonation is not lost.
  • Squeeze the orange slightly and add it to the glass.

Tip

A spicy, full-bodied coffee (e.g. from Colombia, Guatemala or Brazil) is best suited for the infusion. The following applies: The more bitter the vermouth, the lighter the roast should be, as the infusion quickly becomes too bitter if the roast is too dark. For a higher alcohol content in the drink, the soda can also be replaced by 60ml prosecco, 30ml bourbon, or matured rum.

For the coffee infusion

  • Steep vermouth with coarsely ground coffee at room temperature for 24 hours.
  • Then filter and keep refrigerated.
