The owner is friends with Rowald Hepp (Schloss Vollrads) - and with the Trimbach family, whose Rieslings this 2012 is indeed somewhat reminiscent of. Nuanced ripeness on the nose, hardly any petrol. Also a fine style on the palate, which is mineral, rich and sophisticated, juicy with an almost Burgundy-like texture. Persistent spicy finish.
