Actor Sam Neill Puts His Original NZ Vineyard up for Sale

Film actor Sam Neill, the founder of the Two Paddocks winery, is putting his original New Zealand vineyard up for sale. Local media reported that Neill was reluctantly selling his 8.3-hectare Gibbston Back Road property. ‘‘Two Paddocks is expanding and diversifying, and rationalising some aspects of what we do,’’ Neill told the Otago Daily Times newspaper. The certified organic vineyard’s 4.6ha of Pinot Noir vines had produced many award-winning wines, but ‘‘it’s just a little far from our core business near Alexandra and Bannockburn’’.
