Angelina Jolie Sells Château Miraval Share to Stoli
The movie star has sold her share of the Provence château with rosé expertise to the Stoli Group for an undisclosed sum.
The involvement of Hollywood glamour couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made Château Miraval and the rosé wines it produced world-famous. Recently, it was announced that Pitt is also having a rosé champagne produced under the Miraval brand.
After the actors separated, international media lost interest in the idyllically situated château in Provence. As the industry magazine Drinks Business writes, Angelina Jolie is probably no longer attached to the former love nest. Reports say she sold her 50% share to Tenute del Mondo - a subsidiary of Stoli Group. The deal includes the Miraval brand. The buyers have previously taken stakes in iconic brands such as Masseto, Ornellaia and Luce.
Damian McKinney, global CEO of Stoli, said the group is thrilled to be curating the Miraval brand alongside Brad Pitt in the future.
