50 years ago, Kaspar Frauenschuh turned his parents' business into a fashion store - but not just any old one: he brought Prada, Gucci and Armani to Kitzbühel at the end of the 70s, followed by his own brand in the 90s. An interview about aspiration, luxury and the next 50 years.

At the age of 19, you turned your parents' leather factory into a fashion store. How did this come about? The origin of our family business was my parents' tannery, which was known for its tailor-made leather clothing. The values of quality and craftsmanship fascinated me and I found them again in ready-to-wear collections in Milan and Paris. In the 70s and 80s, I brought numerous renowned brands such as Armani, Jil Sander, Prada and Helmut Lang to Kitzbühel.
