These are the best ski resorts in Europe

Sometimes the most beautiful descents are where you least expect them. The Alps and their winter sports resorts are among the best ski areas in Europe. But away from the well-known destinations in Switzerland, Austria and France, there are still some regions that ski fans have rarely had on their radar. In its latest ranking, "Lonely Planet" has compiled seven particularly recommendable destinations - from Scandinavia to the Dolomites.
