This Luxury Resort in the Maldives is Now Opening a Wellbeing Village

Radka and Jiří Šmejc had a dream once. They wanted to create a resort in the Maldives that felt like a home away from home. And, of course, equipped with every conceivable luxury. The two found what they were looking for in Noonu Atoll, about 45 minutes by seaplane from Malé. They built Velaa Private Island, consisting of 47 luxurious accommodations, of which 18 are on the water and one is accessible only by boat. A spa, three restaurants and two bars pamper guests at all levels. To offer them even more luxury now, they set new standards in terms of well-being in the heart of the island.
