Sandrine Garbay, cellar master at Château d’Yquem, holds a doctorate in biological and medical sciences, specialising in oenology, from the University of Bordeaux. She graduated in 1994 and joined Château d’Yquem in the same year. In 1998, she took over the reins as cellar master and created her first vintage. She never lost her deep-rooted passion for science.
