What is new, however, is that non-alcoholic beer is more popular than ever before. 4.2 million hectolitres of non-alcoholic beer were brewed in Germany in 2019 - that's almost twice as much as ten years ago. In fact nearly all the universal lager brands now offer a non-alcoholic option.
