After a rigorous one-day competition of blind tasting, wine service, and food pairing, Denmark now officially has a Best Sommelier: Currently at Restaurant Anton, Oliver Carr impressed the judges with his exceptional knowledge, technical precision, and composed presence during the live final. The victory podium was completed by runner-up Toke Fiedler Terkildsen (Restaurant Domæne), and Thomas Vanhove (Geranium), who came third. "The stage is always challenging," said Carr following his victory. Unlike his familiar setting in Restaurant Anton, the competetive environment demanded adaptability and presence. "I try to bring a little extra generosity, to make the judges feel like guests at my table."
