Every year, an international jury on behalf of the European Parliament awards a prize to the "European Christmas Capital". In 2025, the main title went to Vilnius - now the winners for 2026 have also been announced.

Every year, a jury from the "Christmas Cities Network" meets on behalf of the European Parliament to determine the new Christmas capital. The award recognizes cities that keep the Christmas spirit alive with special cultural projects and initiatives. Vilnius was awarded the title for 2025 - and in 2026 it will go much further south.
