Three-star chef Heinz Winkler dies

Heinz Winkler, one of the most decorated chefs in Germany, has died unexpectedly at the age of 73. The top chef passed away on 28 October. Winkler's hotel and restaurant Residenz Heinz Winkler, located between Salzburg and Munich, confirmed his death via a Facebook post. "A great person has passed away," the post reads. "After a short, serious illness, his family said goodbye in deep mourning."
