Once again this year, a lot of googling was done. Falstaff TRAVEL did not google which destinations were trending according to the "Year in Search 2025", but did find out.

Around 190,000 search queries per second and 16.4 billion queries per year: this was the global query volume for the popular search engine Google in 2025. Direct conclusions about global trends can be drawn from search behavior. Back in 2002, Google published Zeitgeist, the first annual review of search queries - now known as Year in Search.
