Amber in colour with a light yellow foam and slight cloudiness. Malty and sweet on the nose, with notes of spices and prune. A clear sweetness in the first sip, then a clear bitterness slowly comes through. Full-bodied with a pleasant malty sweetness, notes of dried fruit and light roasted flavours, pleasantly tangy. Goes well with savoury dishes and mature cheese.
