DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort
Self Description
Where luxury feels like home
Located directly at the valley station in Großarl, DAS EDELWEISS Salzburg Mountain Resort is the ideal retreat for active guests, those seeking relaxation, and connoisseurs. With great warmth and dedication, the Hettegger family, now in its third generation, runs this luxurious resort and ensures a personal and cozy atmosphere throughout the hotel every day. The award-winning EDELWEISS Mountain Cuisine is under the direction of family member and chef Alexander Hettegger, who attaches great importance to the use of local products and culinary diversity. Among other things, there is a buffet area in the form of a marketplace for breakfast and a salad buffet for dinner. In the evening, guests can choose from a regional, vegan, or international menu and take a seat in one of the six dining rooms. Meat lovers will find another culinary highlight in the Sirloin Grill & Dine steak restaurant. Wine connoisseurs will get their money's worth in the Kork & Gloria wine bar, which invites guests to taste fine wines and houses an adjacent wine archive.
Ski In – Ski Out & Hike In – Hike Out
On your marks, get set, go! The unique location right next to the ski slope and the valley station of the Panoramabahn cable car promises an unforgettable skiing adventure. Here you can feel the magic of winter and experience pure happiness on the slopes in the middle of the Ski amadé ski area. Whether you're looking for thrills on the fast-paced descents or just want to enjoy the snow-covered mountain landscape, your skiing adventure starts right outside our door. The hotel also offers its own ski rental and a spacious ski storage room, so nothing stands in the way of a stress-free skiing vacation.
In summer, too, it's off to the mountains. Nestled in the picturesque landscape of the Grossarl Valley, there are numerous idyllic hiking trails to explore right on your doorstep during the warmer months. Around 40 traditionally run alpine huts provide refreshments for visitors, who can enjoy regional delicacies such as a rustic snack. It is not without reason that the Grossarl Valley is affectionately known as the Valley of the Alps.
