"Cold dishes" Wine Bars in Burgenland
They even mix wine here ("The Big John Cocktail"), but not only. In addition to the classic cocktails and signatures, which occasionally include Scheiblhofer wine, there is also a selection of "Spritz". Bar food comes from the "big" resort kitchen, that's the way to live.
Over 800 Burgenland wines are quite something. But the number one "city balcony" doesn't stop there. Three-person flights and events ("Bargeflüster") bring the public even closer to Pannonian wine. Naturally with Feuerfleck, Wulka prosciutto and co.
A bastion of Burgenland wine! The Weinwerk holds its own as such, but is constantly attracting new fan groups with tastings, concerts and readings. The mix of around 600 wines and delicacies to go with them is simply a joy for connoisseurs.
Trieste coffee is served for breakfast in the morning and the wines are celebrated in the evening. 25 of them are available to taste by the glass, but there are also plenty of large bottles - and take-away options if required - waiting for guests. Always good: the themed "wine tables".
The fact that it was such a start-to-finish victory is pleasing. The inclusive café has been transformed into an experimental kitchen that breaks new ground when it comes to wine. Pannonia is one again, one can say about the range of Hungarian bottlings and new discoveries.
More space! The city's gourmet food centre has needed it for some time. The centre is being relocated in two stages. You can already enjoy more of Ina and Klaus' delicious finds, which they curate with passion. Where else can you find rosé from the Loire to accompany a ham sandwich?
The new Martinsschlössel chef's delicacies are pretty casual. 100 different wines await in the wine cellar. There is also a menu with a clear regional focus (Wulka prosciutto). The Burgenland croissants are also a must!
The mother of all brand-name wine shops in Burgenland has changed little visually. And why should it? After all, the wide range of Hillinger wines, expanded to include merchandise and gourmet specialities (chocolate, fruit juices), appeals to everyone. Which they are happy to prove by the glass.
The treasures that this small wine region harbours can be tasted here in one place. Even though rosé currently characterises the image of the Rosalia winegrowers, there is still a lot in store for wine lovers. Enjoy wine with local ham (and the occasional Torterl).
A subtle selection of gin and tonics is part of the cocktail and wine bar with its cosy garden. The rest is made up by the selection of (local) wines curated by Bianca Hartmann. Barflies will love the corn 'n' oil or mai tai.
The high proportion of regular customers is no coincidence - with the new outdoor bar, the offer is even more attractive. If you can't find what you're looking for among the wines (inclination group: Northern Burgenland), you can reach for the "Sarti-Spritz", for example. There are also small "documents". This is how a wine bar should be!
Whenever there is a party at the "Meierhof" - brand: Pöttsching truffles meet wines - they pull out all the stops. But the "normal" selection in the beautifully restored café is also impressive. The Burgenland wine world is of course an almost logical focus.
