"Take Away" Street Food Restaurants in Burgenland
The fact that the wine growing avant-garde meets here is due to the "no mainstream" wine list. The fact that the locals come here for lunch is again down to the quality of the burgers. Changing specials (e.g. "Holzfäller") complement creative dishes such as "Puszta Burger" or "Lucha Libre" with nachos.
The pub is at least as famous for its homemade sourdough pizzas as it is for its beers. For five years now, you have been able to feast your way through the seasons, from the "Asparagus Pie" in spring to the autumn "Cottage Pizza" special. Or you can go for Daniel and Oliver Ruiner's classics.
It's rare for praise of a kebab vendor to begin with an ode to bread. But when the quality feels - and above all tastes - so distinctly different, then it's Denis style. And you haven't even got to the juicy chicken yet. Excellent!
Tacos, burritos, lots of heart (motto of the hut by the lake: "Pura vida!"). That's all it takes to turn Neusiedl into Acapulco. Drinks and occasional live music reinforce the chilled-out attitude to life. Very fine: in addition to the steppe beef, even the coriander comes from Seewinkel.
The "meaty" snack bar has also established itself around the takeaway market. With a hearty bosna, burgers (either with pulled pork or beef patty), but also schnitzel and cordon bleu (also in a roll to go), small and large appetites are satisfied in exemplary fashion.
Christian "Luv" Leeb is celebrating his tenth year with his mobile kitchen this year. He occasionally even promotes Burgenland cuisine in neighbouring countries. Burgers (and colourful fries), puszta sausages with curry, but above all the "Wödburger" await at the mobile location in front of Gasthaus Leeb.
Beef from Austria, fresh (never frozen) minced meat, the buns with butter from the bakery, the sauces from our own workshop. These are the ingredients from which the burgers are made. The range is complemented by seasonal and vegetarian burgers, bowls, steaks and salads.
The popularity of the food truck is reflected in the high number of bookings for catering. Nonglak and Jürgen Treppel also do this. The mix box with satay and prawns has been added to the set menu. The tom kha gai and massaman curry are always delicious.
You can tell when the students in the capital are off by looking at the timetable - or by the crowds of people outside Benji's. After all, the popular snack bar doesn't just serve the eponymous meat from the spit, but also pizza and some bowls (tuna).
There is a wide selection, right down to the soft drinks. Döner kebab from three rotating skewers, wraps, falafel or the eponymous bowls are "tuned" with fresh salads and vegetables. A special recommendation is the pide with three fillings (cheese, spinach or meat).
Poké bowls, hot bowls, smoothies and sweet waffles: Kenny's brings the healthy, urban zeitgeist to your plate with great attention to detail, the highest quality ingredients and a large vegan and vegetarian selection. The shakes may not be quite as healthy, but they are real soul food.
