The beautiful Accommodation for familieswhose Interior design by Beverly Joubertco-founder of Great Plains, consists of two tents with a common Living and dining area and a pool. Each Guest tent offers a Indoor lounge and a Outdoor dining areaa private plunge pool and Exercise bike and a spacious bathroom with bathtub, showers and double washbasins. Throughout their stay, guests have Access to professional Canon cameras and Leica binoculars to capture the many special vacation moments.

"When we were designing the Tembo Plains Camp, we wanted to refer to the famous Ruins of the former town of Great Zimbabwe but our love for linen and to explore the surrounding area not lose sight of this," commented Dereck Joubert, CEO of Great Plains. "The result is a unique Combination of linen walls and stone walls. The semi-circular stone walls in each tent separate the bathroom and shower from the bedroom and lounge areas, bringing this architectural reference into the interior design. Outside, this design is made up of Stone walls at the back of the guest room, and this gives the guests a greater sense of privacywhich is often a problem with tents. But since we didn't want to have a completely 'converted' room, the Tent-style fronts one unrestricted view of the Zambeziwhich flows just a few meters in front of the canvas tent side of the guest units," Dereck Joubert continues.

A tribute to the elephants

By the way, "tembo" means "elephant" and is a tribute to the animals that are often seen in the Tembo Plains Camp areaalongside wild dogs, buffalo, lions and leopards. Today, the private Sapi Reserve is considered one of the best wildlife destinations in Africa. (Hobby) ornithologists will recognize Tembo Plains as a First-class birdwatching country ideal for photographers and nature lovers.
