"Accommodation" Restaurants in Canton of Thurgau
Guests at the elegant Taverne zum Schäfli can enjoy a wonderful fine dining experience. Head chef Christian Kuchler transforms exquisite ingredients into heavenly creations. The basis of the dishes is classic, but they are peppered with creative touches.
At Mammertsberg, Silvio Germann and his team serve creative, award-winning cuisine with regional roots. The stylishly renovated restaurant offers a fine dining experience with a view of Lake Constance - and the option to stay overnight on site.
This gem only opens its doors by reservation, but guests are then rewarded with heavenly classic cuisine. Urs Wilhelm's sauces in particular are known far beyond the canton's borders. The ambience is cosy and makes you feel right at home.
A visit to the Wave offers wonderful views. In summer, you can sit on the terrace by the lake. All year round, you can enjoy sophisticated brasserie cuisine made from seasonal produce. Some dishes are carved, flambéed or filleted at the table in the traditional manner.
Goethe was once a guest at this beautiful inn. Delicious Swiss classics and dishes from all over the world are served in the historic ambience of the parlour and on the cosy terrace. In addition to à la carte dishes, there are also excellent gourmet menus.
This historic inn serves down-to-earth cuisine of the highest calibre. There are regional specialities such as "Chretzer" - perch from Lake Constance -, schnitzel and "Mistkratzerli", prepared with impeccable craftsmanship using the best products. Wonderfully nostalgic.
Right on the edge of the castle park, the Landgasthof Wartegg invites you not only to eat, but also to celebrate: a kitchen party with hunter's fare, a Martini Goose Weekend and an evening with Magician & Dinner are all part of the regular programme here. Very superior cuisine.
The pretty Riegelhaus between the Thur river and vineyards serves classic cuisine, but the menu occasionally has surprises such as Thai curry. These can also be found on the wine list, which includes regional and international wines - including many grown-up wines.
Golf, panorama and wellness - all these attributes can be found in the name or subtitle of the hotel. Of course, we also have to talk about gourmandise, as the cuisine relies to an astonishing extent on regional produce: Thurgau apple pork, Schrofen beef, cheese from here.
Römerhof keeps it simple, but very good: changing menus at lunchtime, always with fish or meat and a veggie classic. In the evening, there are three to six-course menus, cheese from Rolf Beeler and creative desserts. Over 140 wines fill the cellar, many from local winegrowers.
In the former Riegelhaus, the fourth generation is already working together. Seelust dances to the rhythm of the harvest between the hills of Thurgau and the bays of Lake Constance. The cuisine honours regional produce with down-to-earth elegance. A traditional country inn with soul.
