The historic walls of the Katzunghaus are filled with the aroma of freshly baked cakes, tarts and strudels from our own bakery, which vary depending on the season. The popular breakfast is served all day, accompanied by coffee, exotic teas or hot chocolate.
Coffee becomes a journey of discovery here: From the robust Arabica-Robusta mix to the gently dried organic variety, every bean undergoes precise roasting in the roastery in Tschamlerstraße. Those who want more can refine their own preparation skills in the workshop.
In the heart of the old town, a coffee house that has been in operation since 1803 preserves traditional craftsmanship: cakes and pastries are made daily in the in-house patisserie, while pralines and drinking chocolate made from Valrhona chocolate set fine accents. The name Peintner has stood for artisan confectionery since 1958. In the display case: artistic cakes, fine chocolates and succulent gingerbread from their own production. In summer, the coffee house programme is complemented by a range of ice creams with homemade frozen yoghurt.
