The guiding theme, not to say the guiding index, has remained the same under the new bar team: Financial topics are creatively translated into seasonal cocktail menus - most recently with the five investor types, for example. "Innovation", "Independence" and "Opportunities" are not just capitalised as cocktail names. Great bar food!
The cocktails are at least as impressive as the glamorous ambience of the "D" aka "Discovery" bar. The high quality and professional bartenders turn every signature drink into the perfect guest experience. One of the flavour highlights: "Isla Verde" with rum, avocado, coconut, wasabi and whey.
These mixologists are true masters of their trade and are among the most renowned in the city. With creativity and precision, they experiment with ingredients, flavours and techniques to create something unique. Even classics succeed flawlessly; the Negroni, to name one example, impresses with its perfect balance.
High above the city the sunsets behind the rooftop bar of The Ritz-Carlton where Vienna provides wow moments. A glass of Perrier-Jouët is the ideal sundowner. The selection is diverse and, true to the hotel's reputation, always extravagant, luxurious, and of the highest quality. The service on the rooftop is also top-notch.

The neighbourhood in which the "Truth&Dare" branch is located owes its name to the fireworks manufacturer Stuwer. Unlike the godfather, who was often tricked by the rain, people here love liquids: from perfectly chilled beer to the botanical delicacies that Mike van Bruggen and Lukas Werle prefer to flavour their cocktails with.
You want to feel at home in your favourite bar, maybe even discuss something romantic. All this is possible in this relaxed environment. Conversations are fuelled by small dishes, but above all by liquid "conversation pieces" such as the "O' 75" - usually light and fizzy highballs.
O, che bello! There's no need to worry about bar food in the Italian heart of the hotel. Focaccia, arancino and calamari await. Roberto Cozzolino provides equally authentic drinks. His "Agrumi Ipnotico" is a dream à la Amalfi, accompanied by the "Garibaldi" with pineapple or a traditional "Bellini".
With a magnificent view over the city, it's easy to forget what's in your glass - but that would be a mistake here, as the menu ranges from classics to mules and "lifestyle" sprizz variants to a large selection of creative signature cocktails such as the "Netflix and Chill" with its caramel-popcorn flavour.

Since 1908, the "Loos" has stood for an authentic Viennese culture of enjoyment and that's why Marianne Kohn can count on her regulars to be able to order a drink like the "De Rigueur" without making a mistake. The hostess herself also likes to recommend "extended" Champagne. Just classy, Oida!
The "Reiss" was once a quasi founding member of the newer Viennese bar scene, but after an up and down ride in the recent past, the iconic bar is now experiencing a renaissance - thanks to extremely knowledgeable mixology: with a textbook "Basil Smash" and a "Bitter Sweet Symphony" that lives up to its name.
There are no bartenders working here, but real mixologists - masters of their trade who are sensory experts, composers and performance artists all in one. Inspired by bar godfather Theophil Hansen, they translate elegance into glass. Impressive architecture, unique ambience and plenty of room for staging. Top: the "Paloma".

The aquarium is undoubtedly the eye-catcher and has been a trademark for decades. An American bar in colonial style that takes you back to the golden age of the 1920s. The ambience is nostalgic - take a seat on one of the leather sofas, cocktail in hand, and enjoy the sounds of Dean Martin and co. The latest "it" drink: "Gin Gimlet Cucumber" with homemade, macerated cucumber gin.
It's not just tourists who love the dream view over the Giant Ferris Wheel and Prater. But with all the far-reaching views (also with chilled live sound in summer) and the usual fine sharing cuisine, you almost forget that the bar is also really good: The mixes are creative and sometimes exotic (passion fruit!), but never over the top.
After fine dining try savouring a fancy cocktail at lofty heights while enjoying the view which is simply part of the hotel experience. Great things are created at the bar thanks to real professionals at the shaker. The "Espresso Martini" by Stefan Wasserl is a real drinking experience. For "walk-ins" it is highly recommended to make a reservation.
The short trip to the Caribbean takes place at the highest level in the Hoxton: passion fruit mojito and piña colada exude summery tropical vibes on the roof. There may not be a sea view, but the majestic view over Vienna and the stylish, colourful interior are second to none. Don't forget to book!
