Like a fish on the hook, diners got hooked on the casual seafood when this concept started as a food truck in 2016. It now serves fish and chips, shellfish cocktails, and fish burgers in ten locations. This restaurant is a white-tiled basement in a 1600 s building, resembling a fishmonger’s shop.
At this stall on a raised timber deck, Danish-caught cod is coated in beer batter and fried on the spot to create crispy fish and chips. Beyond the namesake snack, there are fish and shrimp burgers as well as a mixed plate to try. The waterside setting fits the maritime food perfectly.
When this seafood venture was started in 2007, it aimed to make eating fish easy. Its Torvehallerne stall serves Danish fish cakes with homemade remoulade and rye bread. For customers with a kitchen in Copenhagen, the deli counter offers fresh fish and shellfish, plus salads and spreads.
Baha Maki left accountancy for the fish trade, and since 2019, he and friend Yasser Hamid have been the captains of the "Green Cutter" at Torvehallerne. The stall sells fresh seafood from coastal fishermen and serves dishes to eat on the spot, such as fish cakes from a grandmother's recipe.
Named after the North Atlantic haddock, a member of the cod family, this stall at Broens Street Food reflects its founders' passion for the treasures of the sea. Morten Piltoft and Glenn Kejser keep the menu focused on organic dishes: line-caught Limfjord mussels and classic fish and chips.
