Vodka: The Best from Germany
Liudmila Beliavskaia/Shutterstock
Despite the purity law for vodka, the famous water can be made from pretty much any suitable agricultural raw material. As a rule, a raw material is used that is readily available regionally, such as rye, wheat, potatoes or molasses. Traditionally, vodka is not aged or stored in oak barrels. Most vodkas are bottled at 37.5% or 40% ABV.
