"Warm Dishes" Bars in Hamburg
Culinary creativity meets mixology: the bar translates Kevin Fehling's three-star cuisine into cocktails. Classics are rethought, such as "Tom Kha Gai Milkpunch" (rum, Malibu and lemongrass), "Okinawa Shiso" (Lillet, yuzu liqueur and habanero) or the "Piquant Bastard" (white pepper, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco).
Marvellous panorama of Hamburg and spectacular Alster terrace on the sixth floor. The fine Champagne creations and sophisticated drinks are a perfect match. "Basilicous" with vodka, basil, elderflower or "Tipsy Summer" with cinnamon liqueur, yuzu, bitters. Nordic indulgence: "Tünn Dild Akvavit" with cucumber, lemon and egg white.
The highlight of the chic Hotel Tortue with its diverse gastronomic offering. At the centre of Bar Noir is the counter with heavy leather chairs and stylish lighting, and the drinks are no less impressive, with changing seasonal signature cocktails and variations of Negroni, Spritz, and Espresso Martini. After work on Thursdays there is a DJ.
Cultural fusion in a glass with Asian spices and Western textures. A beautiful menu with ingredient sketches that pique your curiosity. For example, "Enigma" with rum, nut butter, shiitake mushrooms, and plum wine, or "Eastern Bite" with Tanqueray No. Ten, roasted rice, tom yum, cucumber, and coriander. Relaxed old-school hip hop to accompany your drink.
Excellent ristorante, the bar is also buonissimo and serves outstanding drinks from aperitivo to nightcap. Signature drinks such as "Witches of London" with Strega and sloe gin, "Noblesse Oblige" with crème de cacao, truffles and gold flakes or "New York - New York" with bourbon and vanilla. Browsing through the bar book is a pleasure.
Hidden away in a warehouse, the long bar attracts everyone's attention. Cocktails such as the mysterious purple-coloured "To pimp a Butterfly" or fruity signature drinks shimmer in the light, while fantastic Thai curries, duck breast or vegan pancakes come out of the show kitchen to share - the perfect way to unwind after work.
Café, bar and distillery in the old marzipan factory in Bahrenfeld: coffee during the day, home-distilled gin and herbal liqueur from the in-house distillery in the evening. Signature drinks such as the "BBQ Pineapple Gimlet", "Banana Pancakes" or "Panna cotta Espresso Martini", classics such as gin and tonic. Always worth trying!
Scandinavian-inspired cosiness always fits in the north. This former horse stable serves very good creative cuisine and excellent drinks from bar manager Tim Pabel and his team. The ginger beer with the Moscow Mule is homemade, the Nordic Martini is a winner with aquavit, crème de mure, lemon and pineapple; a different take: "No Hugo".
Elegance meets glamour: bar manager Enrico Wilhelm and his team create masterfully vivid Japanese-Peruvian cocktail art in a sophisticated cosmopolitan design. Creations such as the "Yuzu-Sancho" with citrus notes or the floral "Jasmine Gimlet" shine just as brightly as Champagne, fine sake and DJ sounds at the weekend.
Unmistakably Black Forest, but without the kitsch, in Eppendorf: dark wood, cuckoo clocks and Tobias Henn's busy bar team in traditional costume. Baden tapas and Rothaus Tannenzäpfle to quench hunger and thirst, creative cocktails with a Black Forest flavour such as "Bollenhut", "Sauerkirsch Old Fashioned" or "STAUFEN 1982" with raspberry spirit.
Away from the hustle and bustle of the neighbourhood, the stylish bar with the promising name beckons with the prospect of 70 gins, 260 rums, 570 whisk(e)ys and just one fine vodka. Creative long drinks and classic cocktails from sours and martinis to negronis and sazeracs. Regular gin, rum and whisk(e)y tastings. Cheers!
The rooftop terrace of the Geroge Hotel in St. Georg offers a unique view of the Outer Alster and a wide selection of cocktails, long drinks and more. Plus relaxed music and snacks. Open only during the summer months.
Botanical bar dreams with a jungle twist: herbal infusions, fine spirits and drinks with a twist. Like the "Black Walnut Old Fashioned" with a dash of chocolate bitters or the "Pussy Passion", which has it all without alcohol. Those who are hungry will be happy with the finest burgers, bowls, fries and sushi.
The large windows and, in summer, the terrace offer a marvellous view of the Inner Alster, perfect for an after-work or after-shopping drink. Cocktails, highballs or sours, selected wines and bar food. Signatures such as the "Lemon Cheesecake" with limoncello, cream cheese and whipped cream or "Rosy Sunset" for a sundowner.
In the imposing building of an old iron foundry, you can enjoy the wild soul of St. Pauli in style: over 250 drinks, from classics to creative drinks such as the "Kung Fu Pandan" with pandan liqueur, coconut and nutmeg or the "Mediterranean Sour" with flambéed thyme. Check out the changing drink of the day.
Hafencity and the Elbe are echoed in the ceiling waves and stylish ambience. Fancy a drink before heading to the restaurant? "Salted Caramel Macadamia Mojito" plays with the flavours, "Grannys Garden" tastes of fresh cucumber and basil, "Hot Altos" scores with grapefruit soda with tequila reposado, agave and chilli.
Botanic touches in the elegant bar of the Side Hotel - from the harmonious decor to the menu, which is surprisingly organised according to herb garden, savouriness rack, mint or rosemary. The "Botanist Gimlet" with pineapple-tarragon gin and grape is fine, while the "Having a good Thyme" with thyme is balanced with vodka, blackberry and Champagne.
The Mash blends premium steakhouse flair with an exquisite wine list that shines with rarities from all over the world and a focus on North America. At the bar, signature drinks such as the "Mash Margarita" with homemade eucalyptus cordial - also a spicy delight - or an "Old Fashioned" with maple cordial and double bitters are tempting.
Between waving cats and Japanese tradition, the bar shines with Asian fusion cuisine. The "Yoshino" with vermouth, jasmine, yuzu and crémant is flint, while the "Nigori Ranger" sour with two sakes, lucuma and almond is exciting. Full-fruity hibiscus coolers, dragon fruit lemonade and savoury gingerberry provide variety.
Bar with sensational 360° panoramic view over the port of Hamburg. There are over 70 cocktails on the menu, from elegant classics to their own creations. Sunset at 62 meters is definitely worth seeing.
