It has aromas of black cherry, cinnamon, some semi dark chocolate, and nougat cream. On the palate there is a combination of suppleness with mellow tannins. It is very vivid right from the start, with a mild acidity, a nice underlying texture, and the powerful body is filled to the brim with ripe fruit and substance. Freshness and elegance are not the issues here, but rather an epicurean dimension of power.
