The red wine Castello di Brolio Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Ricasoli has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese
It has a bright ruby colour with a slightly brighter rim. On the nose it opens with light mineral notes and cedar wood, then lots of juicy cherry, it is a very vivid bouquet. It is round and juicy on the palate, showing finely crafted cherry fruit, unfolding with polish. It has firm tannins at the core, as well as good tension and a long finish.
