The white wine Forst Riesling trocken, vintage 2016 from the winery Weingut Reichsrat von Buhl has been rated in 2018 by Ulrich Sautter with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Riesling from the region Pfalz (Palatinate) in Germany.
Citrus and green apple, greengage, mirabelle, strawflower, herbs, almost some saffron. Silky and round on the palate, very finely textured yet substantial, playfulness and power combined, elegant style, seamlessly integrated acidity, rich and generous, and with a mineral underlay. It is very much a wine of its place.
More about the tastingA cornucopia of aromas: raspberry pulp, citric notes, red currant, mint, woodruff. Soft on the palate, then medium-bodied with surprisingly pronounced suppleness, ripe acidity, medium-bodied in extract and length.
