After the renovation comes the award! The historic building in the Czech Republic is now officially a luxury hotel.
In the spring of 2021, the Falkensteiner Spa Resort Marienbad extensively renovated. Now the hotel can also look forward to receiving the highest award. Because the historic building from the 19th century has now been awarded the five-star classification of the Czech Hotel Association.
Two months after the reopening of the Falkensteiner Resort in Marienbad, the Czech Hotel Association has now confirmed the 5* classification: To achieve this classification, a hotel must meet the high standards of the European Hotel Stars Union. "We want to offer our guests enjoyment and health at the highest level. That is why we have taken great care in our hotel concept to meet the highest quality standards in all areas - be it wellness & spa, medical services, culinary delights or interior design," says Otmar MichaelerCEO of FMTG - Falkensteiner Michaeler Tourism Group AG.
"This is of course a major challenge, especially when you are working with a historic building and also have high expectations of yourself. We are all the more delighted about the confirmation from the hotel association." This means that the historic hotel has finally transformed itself from a K.u.K. spa into a 5* wellness and health hotel, tastefully combining tradition and modernity.
In the area of health, the team led by head physician Dr. Roman Vokaty has set itself the following motto Heal.Restore.Relax ancient knowledge and proven remedies. These include mineral springs, the numerous natural moors and carbon dioxide veins in the region. Based on this, modern holistic programs have been developed with a focus on stress and burn-out prevention, relaxation and regeneration. Regeneration after a COVID-19 infection and on customized detox and weight management.
Guests also experience a culinary contrast between tradition and modernity. A balanced and nutritious vitality cuisine meets natural ingredients. Seasonal and regional products as well as gentle and health-conscious cooking methods are the focus here.
"Our aim is to offer our guests a well thought-out health offer that combines enjoyment and mindfulness", explains General Manager Reinhard Wall. "In addition to traditional spa guests, our new health concept is primarily intended to appeal to people who not only want to travel on their vacation, but also invest time in their health," Wall continues. "In the fight against the current pandemic, we are also placing a major focus on recovery from COVID illness. Together with our medical team, we have developed a holistic program designed to improve the performance of those affected more quickly and make it easier for them to return to a normal life."
