Best Gourmet Hotel

MÖRWALD Relais & Châteaux Hotel Am Wagram, Feuersbrunn am Wagram

Top Austrian chef Toni Mörwald has created a Lower Austrian gourmet empire. His Hotel am Wagram combines timeless elegance and modern luxury, from the rooms to the spacious penthouse suite. The outdoor pool, spa, gym, grocery store and wine shop with delicacies to take home are just as much a part of the Mörwald retreat as the nearby estate, the Grafenegg Cottages in the middle of nature or the Grafenegg Hotel with a view of the castle.

The Mörwald restaurants promise even more stellar moments: the charming Zur Traube with Austrian classics, Michelin-starred cuisine in the Toni M. gourmet restaurant and the cooking school and castle cuisine in Grafenegg.

Just a few steps from the heart of the city, a total of 138 elegant rooms and suites have been created behind the historic façade of the former commercial court. They impress with their timeless, Art Nouveau-inspired style. Best Value

Motel One Vienna State Opera, Vienna

Just a few meters from the Vienna State Opera and the magnificent Ringstrasse, you will find a successful symbiosis of price and performance behind historic walls. Instead of spa and restaurant, the focus here is on sightseeing and dine-around in some of the city's best restaurants. The Motel One Vienna State Opera scores with its location on the one hand, and with attractive offers on the other - without compromising on appealing, location-specific design. Think ballerina chairs by Henryot and ballet-inspired Alvarez lamps. As part of an ongoing redesign, the hotel will in future operate under the new lifestyle brand "The Cloud One", while retaining the architectural references to Vienna's Ringstrasse era and the State Opera.

Sustainability & Innovation

Organic Hotel Gralhof, Weißensee

At the Gralhof, sustainability is lived out of conviction. This benefits the environment, but also offers guests a special form of mental relaxation: the certainty of leaving as small an ecological footprint as possible. The award-winning organic cuisine, prepared with love from regional ingredients from suppliers with a clear attitude, is a matter of course at this boutique hotel directly on the Weißensee. The 16 rooms and public areas are heated with wood chips from the hotel's own forestry, the green electricity comes directly from the region and the hotel has been completely CO2-neutral since 2020. Workshops, for example on the subject of natural wine, and a lakeside sauna round off the Knaller family's offer.

Lifework

Signe Reisch, Rasmushof Hotel Kitzbühel, Kitzbühel

Signe Reisch belongs to that rare breed of hoteliers who not only value their guests, but see them as a kind of extended family. This is the only way to explain why she has been at the forefront of the Rasmushof in Kitzbühel for over 40 years with the same level of commitment and passion. But she is not only an authority there: as a mother of three, President of Kitzbühel Tourism and Museum President, she shapes the Gamsstadt in many different ways. No wonder that she is sometimes referred to as the "Queen of the Streif" - also in view of the hotel's location. Signe Reisch is one of the most pleasant examples of how hospitality can be felt on both sides of the reception desk.
