High-quality, very rare red autochthonous grape variety, native to Cyprus. The result is complex wines that are similar to good Cabernet Sauvignon. The grape variety only has female flowers, which is why it is usually grown side by side with the Mavro grape variety for fertilization. Immediately after flowering, it loses many shoots, which only grow back slowly. This is how grapes of different ripeness are created.
