"Outdoor Dining Area" Wine Bars in Stuttgart
The bar run by newcomers Deniz Sever and Claudia Jais has made a name for itself. Not only because it has taken the place of a brothel bar in the red light district, but also because of its delicious open wines and truffled cheese cream. Live music events!
Stuttgart locals like to travel out to Wangen for an insider tip. Michael Schokatz and Antonio Baratta serve local specialities such as roast onion and pull out all the stops when it comes to drinks. In addition to German wines, there are also wines from Switzerland and Alsace.
Trends and fashions have largely left Andreas Scherle's wine bar untouched. The wine house was founded in 1902 and customers would probably rebel if lentils with string sausages and Maultäschle were taken off the menu. Served with a Trollinger, followed by Altes Pflümle.
Word has got around about which vintage was the best for the wine, but what about the sardines? Sommelier and co-chef Markus Konrad knows his way around both, recommending the right drinks from here or from afar to accompany a tin of fish.
After a visit to this bar with a difference, guests are left feeling full and satisfied. But they are also physically fit, because here you have to tap the Trollinger or Sauvignon Blanc yourself. Luckily, the farmer's ham and vintage Gouda don't have to be sabred from the slice yourself.
Come in the morning and leave late in the evening: not a bad idea. The cappuccino is highly regarded by Stuttgart's gourmets and the terrace is full when Bollinger Champagne is served. Walther is also a paradise for cakes and savoury snacks.
"San" like sandwich. But nobody should be fooled by the name. This is a good-humoured wine bistro that highlights bottlings from renowned producers from the Pfalz to Provence. Cheese always goes well and of course there's also a sandwich.
Small but fine location with a long communal table. Wines with a focus on Württemberg; every month a different winery is the focus. Cheese, sausage and bread from the Hofpfisterei - and homemade Maultaschen to take home from the Paulaner Inn on the old Postplatz next door.
