"Outdoor Dining Area" Wine Bars in Stuttgart
The name doesn't always live up to its promise, but at the Spelunkerei, Michael Schokatz and Antonio Baratta combine a relaxed atmosphere with super-friendly service, very good local home cooking and an excellent selection of wines.
New spot with high-end ambience on the edge of the red light district. Between dark wood and walls with decorative shelves, high quality open wines and also Champagne are served. From the delicatessen assortment there are various tasting plates and specialities from the jar to go with fresh bread.
Nicolas Sigloch calls his bar in the south of Stuttgart Germany's first "self-exploring wine experience". The concept is ingenious: 100 different wines are waiting in vending machines, to be tasted at the touch of a button. Payment is made with a pre-loaded card.
Small but fine location with a long communal table. Wines with a focus on Württemberg; every month a different winery is the focus. Cheese, sausage and bread from the Hofpfisterei - and homemade Maultaschen to take home from the Paulaner Inn on the old Postplatz next door.

San's central meeting point in the middle of the Kleiner Schlosspatz started out many years ago as a soup and sandwich bar and has now evolved into a wine bar in the evenings. There is a good selection of red and especially white wines to accompany antipasti, cheese and more.
Andreas Scherle runs the gourmet restaurant Zur Weinsteige, where he maintains one of the best wine cellars. In the cosy ambience, there are hearty snacks, including dry-aged Zwiebelrostbraten (beef, gravy, crispy onions). Tasting counter with more than 600 positions, beautiful outdoor area.
