"Sushi" Street Food Restaurants in Munich
Chef Shigeru Fujita has been cooking since he was nine years old. Perhaps that's why his sushi is considered one of the best in the city. Here, the Japanese classic meets influences from the fine dining scene. You can either order a set menu or choose individualistic dishes from the menu.
Is there a secret to what is probably the best ramen in Munich? At Monaco Ramen they say: shoyu. And therefore actually: nothing. But let them keep their secrets as long as you can still order this fantastic soup. And everyone really should!
Admittedly, the dishes are not designed to get as many likes on Instagram as possible. But they do taste good! For example, the fried tofu with mushrooms, beans and butter teriyaki sauce, served on sticky rice. What's more, the food is very reasonably priced.
Many say that you won't get better ramen anywhere in Munich. The noodles come directly from Japan and the broth simmers for hours until it has reached its typical deep flavour. At 14 euros, the soup is not necessarily a bargain, but the quality justifies the price!
No, at TAKO they don't take themselves too seriously. They are casual. And that's exactly why it's worth taking a look. Because between the casualties you'll find some highlights. Takoyaki, sushi bowls and ramen, for example. All fresh and really tasty.
For almost 30 years Sushi Sano has stood for a love of Japanese cuisine and craftsmanship. They wrap classics such as maki, nigiri and co, but also specialities. The "Ebi Fry Rolls" are particularly recommended: deep-fried prawn rolls in panko batter.
Suzuki Nomnom Kitchen offers maximum enjoyment in a wonderfully minimalist ambience. This is mainly due to the gastronomic expertise of Yukiko Suzuki, who has been preparing wonderfully flavoursome ramen and udon soups here since 2019. Plus: delicious desserts!
The Haguruma is simple but cosy. But the kitchen has it all. Chef Yuzo Hirata has learnt his trade in the relevant establishments and now shows off his skills in his own restaurant. The shake tartare is particularly recommended: reduced to the essentials!
In this family-run restaurant, you can let sake take you by the hand and guide you through the variety of Japanese flavours. Whether you opt for a sake tasting menu or just a noodle soup, you will always leave with a smile on your face.
At Japan Sushi Gourmet, guests are served authentic Japanese classics. And above all - the name gives it away - sushi. It is well-crafted and really good value for money. But the other dishes, such as the tori teriyaki lunch, are also highly recommended!
