"Warm Dishes" Bars in Berlin
The Lobby Lounge & Bar in the Hotel Adlon welcomes tourists and Berliners in a historic ambience. Water gurgles softly from the opulent elephant fountain and the pianist provides classical sounds to perfect the experience. Champagne, cocktails and small delicacies are served.
In a trendy atmosphere with a bohemian interior, the Lost My Voice Bar impresses with a creative cocktail menu in the Circus Hotel directly on Rosenthaler Platz. The focus is on classic cocktails. A DJ plays every first Monday of the month, making the bar the ideal place for after-work drinks.
The atmosphere in the Provocateur Bar in City West is seductively lascivious. Red velvet armchairs, opulent décor and the burlesque design allow guests to immerse themselves in the wild Berlin and Paris of the 1920s. The bar team mixes its own creative creations, each accompanied by a matching bar food.
Inspiring place for ambitious cocktail hunters. Here, Anastasia and Filip serve creative signature drinks and excellent bar food that inspire the mind and body. Special recommendation: the "Aperitivo Tasting Flight" (45 euros, 5 to 7.30 pm), where three mini cocktails are served with matching snacks.
The time-honoured hotel on Steinplatz is now called Roomers and is also home to The Duc Ngo's latest gastronomic highlight: before the exclusive dinner in the Manon Brasserie, the associated bar entices guests with exciting, French-inspired signature drinks such as the "House Sazerac" or the "Creole Mai Tai".
A classy, casual interior, changing art on the walls and interesting people everywhere. The first impression is deceptive: this bar is not about chichi or show, it's about serious drinking. And signature drinks such as the tequila-mezcal-based "Sun Ra 1995" go perfectly with the club sandwiches.
The Orania.bar in the hotel of the same name in Kreuzberg impresses with its creative freedom. The drinks menu serves as inspiration, but drinks are mixed with or without alcohol, depending on personal preference. The luxurious ambience of the hotel is a wonderful place to linger at the long corner bar.
Kink serves great drinks in an impressive space with high ceilings and large works of art in Prenzlauer Berg. The cocktail creations include "Shiso Paloma" with tequila, shiso, grapefruit and almond milk or "Amer" with gin, LIME, gentian, botanical tonic, grapefruit oil and olive.
The opulent ambience with gold glitter, crystal chandeliers and velvet brings the Golden Twenties of the last century back to life. For the bar of the upscale restaurant, flavour juggler Arnd Henning Heißen has reinvented popular cocktail classics from that wild era, such as the "Charleston Sour" or "Cabaret Martini".
While star chef Peter Maria Schnurr spoils guests in the Michelin-starred restaurant, guests can enjoy the inspiring concept of "Cuisine Bartending" at the bar with exceptional signature drinks and a fantastic view over Berlin. Don't be shy - even if you just want a drink, you are very welcome at Golvet.
In this pleasantly unspectacular neighbourhood, it is more by chance that you find a wonderful watering hole for real barflies. Named after the Prohibition gangster George Remus, the bar offers a surprisingly large selection of spirits of all kinds and impressive cocktails such as the "Waldspaziergang" or the non-alcoholic "La Bella Donna".
The kitchen is the centre of every convivial evening. That's why Nina Zilvar dispenses with the unnecessary distance between guest and bartender in her cosy restaurant Küche in Kreuzberg and mixes the drinks at the kitchen block. The cocktail creations are excellent and fine bar food is also provided.
The Monkey Bar on the tenth floor of the 25hours Hotel serves excellent gin and tonics and other drink creations with a panoramic view over City West and the monkey house. The interior is also inspired by the zoo: artworks of gorillas and giraffes and large planters give the urban venue a jungle feel.
The German-American-Korean bar showcases a variety of influences. The cocktail menu is creative and stands out from the usual bar menu. You must try the bar's own "Michelada", a Mexican beer cocktail served with tomato and kimchi ice cream on a stick.
Bar Basta is the perfect place for people-watching in Mitte. The trendy all-day eatery serves delicious food at any time of day. In the evening, the cocktail menu impresses with special editions such as Mimosa and Bloody Mary Pitcher, Negroni Sbagliato or newly interpreted cocktail classics.
Water, earth, fire, air and - love. These are the five elements of the excellent Japanese-Peruvian menu in this elegant restaurant with an open kitchen. The bar serves matching cocktails, Andean classics such as "Pisco Sour", but also very surprising ones such as "Dia de los Muertos" - with a delicate touch of death.
Loungy jazz music, elegantly minimalist furnishings and Scandinavian design exude a certain Buddhist serenity throughout the establishment. Added to this is, of course, the art of the attentive bar team in mixing even better cocktails such as "Passions in Berlin" or "Kisses at Night" from good ingredients.
The way to the Trüffelschwein first leads through the Kautz & Kiebitz. At the back of the popular neighbourhood pub, you will find the doorbell that leads to the small, dimly lit cocktail bar. Behind the well-stocked bar, the cool bar team is busy serving creative homage drinks such as "Sophia" (Loren).
Red, gold and blue lighting, stylish furniture, an inviting bar and a mosaic of Ursula Andress on the wall: the Ku'damm Bar is all about the sixties elegance of the old James Bond films. The "Martini Dry" and the "Atomicpenecillin", which Bond villain Blofeld would probably also order, are also true to style.
It should look like a cool Frankenstein laboratory in which mysterious concoctions steam away: that was the idea of Tom Zyankali, who opened the Kreuzberg bar in the 1990s. The ingredients and liquids are mostly produced in-house and the drinks are impressive, especially the absinthe-based cocktails.
