A fixed point for wine lovers and connoisseurs: In mid-July, the 5* Hotel Das Central - Alpine. Luxury. Life is hosting the Summer Editions of the cult festival Wein am Berg.
Gourmets are already familiar with the exclusive gourmet festival Wein am Berg. In order to shorten the wait for the next event in April 2022, the prestigious Hotel Das Central - Alpine. Luxury. Life in Sölden for the first time in the summer for four events, each lasting two days, starting on 15 July 2021. As usual, the festival will take place in the midst of the unique mountain landscape of the Ötztal Alps.
As part of the gourmet festival, selected top winegrowers present their exclusive selection. There are also culinary highlights, such as the gourmet lunch in the ice Q at an altitude of over 3,000 meters, with decorated award-winning chefs as hosts. The who's who of the gastronomy scene will be on hand: the selection of first-class wines ranges from Andi Kollwentz to Andreas Wickhoff and Albert Gesellmann. The whole thing is framed by top accompanying events, such as guided winegrower hikes and exclusive dinner evenings in a small but exclusive circle.
The motto of the Wein am Berg - Summer Editions is "Discover together, enjoy together". This togetherness is celebrated during the joint enjoyment of wine and high altitude.
The hosts at Central would particularly like to recommend an event to their guests where wine tasting can be combined with a good cause. Two Austrian Masters of Wine and a Master Sommelier will present their wine favorites in an exclusive tasting in the spectacular ice Q, which served as the backdrop for Daniel Craig's James Bond in Spectre. All proceeds from the event will go to DIE T(H)UMORVOLLEN. The association is committed to promoting public awareness of cancer. Under the motto: "Alone you are strong, together you are unbeatable", people who have to live with the diagnosis of cancer are supported. This brings us full circle to the common basic idea of the Wein am Berg event: everything is better together.
