It's not the luxury that draws guests to Casa Iris. Rather, it's the heart and story behind the small bed & breakfast in Orbetello. It has just three rooms, which Italian-American couple James Valeri and Matthew Adams, with the help of Maria Rosaria Basileo, have transformed into a chic hideaway. While Valeri is known as a fashion designer and Adams was formerly a restaurant chef, Basileo is no stranger to her field either. She and her team had previously worked on the restoration of the Sistine Chapel and the Villa Borghese. An 18th-century mural, a 17th-century washbasin, and many original details from the Valeri family estate make Casa Iris such a special place.
