Creamy pistachio ice cream, strong espresso and a hint of almond – the Affogato Royal is an uncomplicated, yet sophisticated, dessert. Ideal for warm evenings.

Ingredients
Double espresso (e.g. Julius Meinl Vienna Line Melange)
2 balls Pistachio ice cream
Ein dash Almond liqueur, e.g. Amaretto (or non-alcoholic: almond syrup)
Eine handful Roasted, salted pistachios to garnish
  • Briefly place an empty espresso cup in the freezer.
  • Scoop the pistachio ice cream into the chilled cup.
  • Pour freshly brewed espresso over the ice cream.
  • Add a dash of almond liqueur or syrup.
  • Garnish with pistachios and serve immediately.
