First-class cuisine by chef Miroslav Zamiška in a historic setting on the banks of Štrbské Pleso – that’s Grand Restaurant. Zamiška is a modern traditionalist who likes to combine Tatra traditions with modern European trends, based on precise technique and seasonal ingredients. We tasted bryndza pierogi with homemade sheep’s bryndza from the new menu and pigeon with demi glace and foie gras, both of which were excellent. The wine list is composed with an emphasis on premium Slovak and world wines, which ideally complement the tasting experience. The interior in the style of a historic grand hotel is sumptuous and the service is professional.
